While our main business is retail, be that in our shop, or online we are also able to offer our customers a wide range of additional services, to complement their purchases.
Some services are completed in house utilising the wide and varied skills of our team. However, a broader range of additional services are available by working closely with our partners, a number of trusted and specialist, professionals and companies.
Listed below is everything we are currently able offer:
Rope work and splicing:
We are able to offer a full range of splicing and whipping services for all types of rope including three strand, braid on braid and dynema. We can also offer rope to chain splices, all of which is carried out in house with fast turnarounds. From a simple eye splice to make mooring easy and convenient to decorative banisters, retail queuing systems and even garden swings for the children or grandchildren. In the rope work department there is very little we can’t do, give us a call or pop in for a chat, bring your measurements and our team will be keen to help.
Life Raft servicing:
More and more yachtsman are choosing to have a life raft on board whether they are local coastal sailors or long distance ocean cruisers. It is of up most importance that your raft is regularly serviced and maintained.
The chandlery works closely with three different servicing centres allowing us to offer servicing and spares for all makes and models of life rafts. Rafts can be dropped off with us, and will be returned for you to collect fully serviced. We take care of everything keeping you informed of progress though out. Servicing costs vary hugely depending on the age of the raft, so each raft will be quoted individually, for this process it is really useful if you know your the manufacturer, serial number, age and the date of its most recent service if that applies. Collection and delivery is available at an extra cost (the raft must be removed from the boat by the customer before we collect)
Life jacket servicing:
All life jackets should be regularly serviced and maintained to ensure they work efficiently if you ever need them in an emergency. As with life rafts, life jackets can be dropped into us and we will take care of everything. We can also offer this service to commercial and coded vessels.
Rigging:
The chandlery works closely with local riggers allowing us to offer a range of rigging services. This includes wire work, lifelines and standing rigging. As with many of the services we offer these items are often bespoke, so call us or pop in and we will be happy to offer advice and provide a quote. This work is carried out by local skilled professionals. The chandlery team can manage your requirements, offering a collection and drop off service, making us a “one stop shop” for all your boating and leisure needs.
